John Flad, Robert Sutherland, Dr. Walter J. Durkopp and Bert E. Miller, four charter members of the Madison Optimist Club, recall the organization date 35 years ago. Sutherland formerly was international president of Optimist Clubs and Miller was international vice-president. Published in the Wisconsin State Journal on March 21, 1959.
